Dear Business Partners,Today we would like to furnish you with the most up-to-date information considering the developments in the Locust Bean Gum market. Our producer of Locust Bean Gum & Tara Gum could lower his prices remarkably, due to his foresighted purchases of raw material, and a generally quite good harvest in 2008. Our intension is to let you participate in this favourable price deduction, and thus recommend to consider already today your medium- or long-term demand. Please enquire the most actual prices from us. Also, we do not want to fail mentioning that all the Mediterranean regions where the fruits from the Carob trees are harvested are presently experiencing a winter cold which is much below average. In widespread areas the frost causes the fruits of the carob trees to die, and we must expect that this will have negative effects on the following harvest in 2009. A smaller yield will consequently lead to rising prices. Whether an expected smaller yield of the harvest will also lead to a shortage of raw materials remains to be seen. We shall keep you informed, however. Furthermore, we are happy being able to pass on a minor price decrease with respect to Tara Gum, although the general supply situation continues to be tense; the reason for this is to be seen in our timely purchase of the needed raw kernels ex Peru. We would be very pleased about your enquiries. With best regards Jeremias Müller |
