Dear Business Friend,

Hopefully, you could already enjoy a wholesome and pleasant Summer Holidays, and are now back on the range healthy and full of energy.

Today we take proud sending out THE Newsletter of The Year – in our view  - to you. We are quite sure that we shall not be able to top these news!

We would like to present a new "colleague" to you:

Mr. Bernd Ahrens, who will from now on assist us with his almost 50 years of professional experience.  We had hoped that we would be able to greet Mr. Bernd Ahrens even earlier in our team. This, much to our regret, was denied to us, because there had been some open questions left regarding business, and legal matters, respectively, which had to be clarified before.

I myself, Mirko Ahrens, am specifically proud that I shall be able to work together with my father, even in this new enterprise. We shall – as we are wont to do – complement one another perfectly in many fields, and hence I am glad to see my father back at my side.

Furthermore, he will support us actively on the forthcoming exhibitions .
The exhibitions in question are as follow:

FIE Europe at booth J175,  Oktober 30th until November 1st, in London
Food Ingredients Russia 2007, in CROCOS Expo Moskow,
where you will find us in Hall 8, Booth F41, December 4th until 7th.

Specially, my father will market hydrocolloids and gelling agents here specifically

Agar Agar, and furthermore he will take care of:
Gum Olibanum
Xanthan Gum
Gum Tragacanth
Gum Karaya
Psyllium Seeds
Licorice

In future, please turn directly to him should you have demand of the above mentioned products.

Furthermore, we would also like to introduce Mrs. Isabel Arcos as a new member of our Team.


Guar Gum

Our enterprise, too, like so many others here in Germany, recently saw the visit of some authorized persons of our Bureau for Consumers’ Protection, Trade and Environment. Presumably you could already guess that also in our case the reason for this official action were the recent findings of considerable quantities of Guar Gum in German warehouses which had been – one way or other – contaminated PCP (Pentachlorphenol) and/or Dioxine. The Civil Servant took some probational material from the Guar Gum stored in our warehouses, in order to have our merchandise, too, examined with respect to possible contaminations. Now we are in possession of the results of the official laboratory, and are glad being able to let you know that our merchandise in stock is free from any such pollution!

Our contracted suppliers, too, meanwhile have had the corresponding tests executed by an external laboratory. There also no harmful contaminations could be detected.
This, in our view, is yet another affirmation of our strategy to cooperate with reliable, contracted suppliers, whom we have known for many years, and whose enterprises are also submitted to recurrent quality controls.

Because of that recent incident, we are determined to even intensify our controls in future.
